Ko Lanta faded beyond the horizon as the last boat trip of this coastal diversion led me towards Trang.
Islands and time floated by
1260 monkey strewn steps provided just that. Leading vertiginously upwards, some steps over a foot in height, leg muscles untouched by pedal rotation were stung into action.
Atop I found the Tiger Cave Temple's summit.
And the views across Cochin were reward enough.
The gilded statues were no lilllies.
Providing much distraction as I lingered
putting off the knee knackering descent to come.
More than a little wobbly and relieved to reach terra firma I went in search of the temples caves.
There to enjoy the cool and the canines.
Beyond the mammoth diptocarps soared encircled by hardwood vines .
At a scale impossible to capture.
Lots of boats and boots of late, not enough bikes for my taste. Time to get back on the saddle.
